Il protagonista della vicenda Roger Ferris (Leonardo DiCaprio) è un agente della CIA impegnato nella lotta al terrorismo. Leonardo gave an excellent performance. The story line was concrete and definitely held your interest from beginning to end. Lots of action and the explosions were awesome - looked and felt realistic. There were definitely some gruesome parts but this is reality of what is going over there in Jordan. This film definitely will do very well at the box office. Seems like every time I see I see Leonardo, he gets better and better. I hated the character of Russell Crowe but it fit in with the story line and I would see it again. The only thing I was change is to cut it down a little bit in length. It was a little too long, maybe cut out 10-15 minutes -- just a suggestion. But overall I would very highly recommend this film and eventually having it in your home library when it comes out on DVD.

Ho visto uno screening di questo film la scorsa settimana, e devo dire che l'ho davvero apprezzato. La performance di Leonardo è eccellente. La story line è concreta e riesce a mantenere la tua attenzione dall'inizio fino alla fine. Azione ed esplosioni veramente terrificanti - sembravano davvero realistiche, nelle immagini e nel suono. Di certo il film andrà molto bene al botteghino. Sembra quasi che ogni volta che vedo Leonardo recitare, migliori sempre di più. Ho odiato il personaggio interpretato da Russel Crowe, ma si adatta molto bene alla story line, quindi lo rivedrei di nuovo. L'unico cambiamento che farei è accorciarlo un po’. E' un po’ troppo lungo, forse andrebbe tagliato di 10-15 minuti - ma è solo un suggerimento. In generale è un film che raccomanderei caldamente, e alla fine vale la pena averlo nella propria raccolta personale, quando uscirà il DVD.

Beh...strano, pensando alla velocità in cui Ridley Scott gira i suoi film. Nel giro di poco tempo quando è uscito American Gangster ha finito le riprese di Nottingham e di House of Lies e ha già un paio di progetti in cantiere. Non credo ci voglia molto per vedere il trailer, ma film come Australia e Benjamin Button che usciranno nelle sale a dicembre hanno già il trailer, anche se Australia ha avuto una lunga preparazione che risale a circa un anno e mezzo o giù di lì.. -

secondo me a luglio si vedrà qualcosa.. se non già a giugno.. poi con tutti questi festival lo presenteranno di sicuro.... -

Ne avrà dato parecchi di grattacapi a Sam Mendes il romanzo di Yates! Quando si è davanti ad un capolavoro della letteratura contemporanea americana si hanno di solito grandi responsabilità. Dalle ultime notizie che ho reperito sul web Leo potrebbe essere a Venezia per House of Lies e non per Revolutionary Road che non sarà presentato al festival. Forse potrebbe essere pronto per il festival di Roma.
