Nuova intervista: Calvin Candie, il Natale e il cibo ItalianoDurante la conferenza stampa per “Django Unchained” tenutasi lo scorso 5 Dicembre, Leonardo è stato intervistato dal sito Tedesco Courier, ecco a voi la traduzione dell’intervista. Coincisa, schietta e piacevole.
E’ divertente fare il cattivo?
No, è veramente difficile per me. Ho dovuto diventare un razzista disumano. E se non ti cali completamente nella parte, sullo schermo si vede.
E come hai fatto?
Ho tentato di studiare la psiche umana, capire il fatto che Calvin cercava di vedere le persone intorno a lui come di sua proprietà. Ma penso che il suo comportamento nel Sud fosse generalmente accettato. Calvin Candie è esattamente l’opposto di quello che definirei un brav’uomo.
E quali sono le caratteristiche di un brav’uomo?
Deve avere compassione per gli altri, essere educato e mostrare considerazione, ma soprattutto umanità e bontà.
E tu, sei una brava persona?
Lascio giudicare agli altri.
Calvin Candie amava un certo tipo di sport. A te piace guardare qualche sport?
Mi piace guardare le Arti Marziali. Non amo molto il Football, ma adoro il Basket.
Hai qualche hobby?
Mi piace un sacco immergermi. Ho girato il mondo in cerca di zone piene di coralli e rare specie marine. Sott’acqua hai una prospettiva tutta nuova, sei in un mondo da sogno.
E cosa rende la vita sulla terra un sogno?
Avere buoni amici e passare del tempo con loro. Non ricordo quand’è stata l’ultima volta che il mio migliore amico è stato a casa mia. Con tutti questi mesi da un set all’altro, non vedo l’ora di rivedere tutti a Natale.
E come si celebra un Natale alla DiCaprio?
Durante la Vigilia sto con mia madre e mettiamo i regali sotto l’albero. A Capodanno invece sto con mio padre e la sua famiglia, come vuole la tradizione Americana.
Intendi regali e tacchino?
Sì, anche se preferisco il cibo Italiano. Pasta sotto ogni forma. Il che è chiaramente un po’ inusuale per Hollywood, con tutto il rispetto per chi cerca di non esagerare con i carboidrati (ride).
Cibo calorico a parte, quali lussi di concedi?
Una doccia al giorno (sogghigna). Seriamente, considero un lusso l’avere di nuovo il tempo per le altre cose di cui mi importa.
Tipo?
Il mio lavoro per l’ambiente. Voglio tornare ad occuparmi intensamente della DiCaprio Foundation. Voglio viaggiare per il mondo per vedere con i miei occhi i problemi. Ma prima di tutti, mi voglio concedere un po’ di riposo e relax.
Dove ti rilassi?
Nella foresta.

Christmas Eve I do with my mother's gifts for under the tree. And 1st I spend Christmas with my father and his family. All American tradition.

Yes, although I prefer more Italian food. Pasta in any form. Which of course is very unusual for Hollywood, because respect for all, on eating low carbs (laughs).
Apart from fattening foods, which luxury you allow yourself to?
Daily shower (grins). Seriously, I consider it a luxury to again have time for other things that I really care about.

My work for the environment. I want to take care of my back intense DiCaprio Foundation. I want to travel around the world to see the environmental problems with their own eyes. But first, I will allow myself just rest, relax and unwind.
